2025年冠军赛即将开赛，今天我们特意为大家整理了针对公共论坛式辩论（Public Forum Debate）、公共演讲（PublicSpeaking）和青少年世界学校辩论（Junior World School Debate）三大赛制的参赛锦囊，祝愿大家都能在这个夏天斩获属于自己的荣光！

Each team receives a total of 4 minutes of preparation time during the debate to strategize, organize arguments, or verify evidence. Make every second count! If you request an evidence check to validate an opponent’s source or quote, you may choose to pause the debate until the evidence is provided, which will deduct from your preparation time. Alternatively, you can opt to continue the debate, and your opponent must provide the requested evidence between speeches (after the current speech but before the next one begins), without using your preparation time.

每支队伍在辩论中总共有4分钟的准备时间，用于制定策略、整理论点或核查证据。每秒都要充分利用！如果你请求证据检查以验证对手的来源或引用，可以选择暂停辩论直到证据提供为止，这将扣除你的准备时间。或者，你可以选择继续辩论，对手须在发言间隙（当前发言结束后、下一发言开始前）提供所需证据，这种方式不会消耗你的准备时间。

We useMutual Preference Judging (MPJ)to pair teams with judges fairly. Before the tournament, you’ll rank the available judges based on your preferences after you received judge’s paradigm. Our system compares both teams’ rankings and tries to pick judges you both rank highly or similarly. But heads-up: things like judge availability or scheduling might mean you get a lower-ranked judge. To make sure your preferences are in the mix, submit your MPJ rankings before the tournament deadline. Miss it, and we’ll assign judges without your input.

我们用互选评判（MPJ）系统来公平分配裁判。赛前，你们需要在阅读paradigm之后根据偏好给裁判排名。系统会对比双方队伍的排名，尽量选双方都给高分或排名相近的裁判。但注意：裁判数量或赛程安排可能会导致分配到排名较低的裁判。为确保你的偏好MPJ起作用，请在截止日期前提交MPJ排名。错过了，我们只能在没有你的MPJ的情况下分配裁判了。

In preliminary rounds, you’re allowed to debate solo as an Ironmanfor one round.However, teams that rely onIronman for more than one round won’t be eligible to advance to elimination rounds. Similarly, in elimination rounds, with sufficient justification and prior communication with the organizing committee, teams may use Ironman mode for a maximum of one round. Exceeding one round will disqualify the team from advancing to subsequent elimination rounds.

在预赛轮中，你可以在某一轮比赛中以铁人身份独自辩论。但如果超过一轮使用铁人模式，队伍将无法晋级淘汰赛。同样，在淘汰赛中，在有充足的理由并且与组委会提前沟通的情况下，最多可以有一轮使用铁人模式。超过一轮的情况下将无法晋级到之后的淘汰赛环节。

In PF debates, you can’t roll outplans(specific policy fixes) orcounterplans(alternative policies), as the focus is on tackling the resolution’s big picture. Use solid evidence, clear reasoning, and real-world examples to argue for or against the resolution. It’s totally fine to toss in broad, general ideas or solutions to back your case. For example, if the resolution is “Resolved: Social media does more harm than good,” you could argue its downsides (like mental health risks) and suggest something broad like “encouraging healthier online habits” instead of a specific rule like “banning social media for teens.”

在PF辩论中，禁止提出计划（具体政策方案）或反制计划（替代政策），重点是围绕辩题的整体原则展开论证。用可靠的证据、清晰的推理和现实例子来支持或反对辩题。提出宽泛的观点或解决方案来支持你的立场是完全没问题的！比如，若辩题是“社交媒体弊大于利”，你可以谈它的缺点（比如心理健康风险），并提个模糊的建议，比如“鼓励更健康的网络习惯”，而不是具体规定，比如“禁止青少年用社交媒体”。

To keep things fair and authentic, using theinternetorAI tools(like generating speech content) is strictly off-limits during the tournament, including prep time and debates. We want to hear your ideas, not a machine’s! Random checks may happen，as well as listening to the feedback from debaters and judges, and using AI or online resources could lead to penalties, like point deductions or disqualification. Stick to your own brainpower and prepared materials!

为了大家公平的比赛，比赛期间（包括准备时间和辩论）严禁使用互联网或AI工具（如生成稿件内容等）。我们可能会随机检查，也会听取选手和裁判的反馈。擅用AI或在线资源可能导致扣分或取消资格等处罚。依靠你自己的实力和准备吧！

Arrive at the classroom on time to keep the tournament running smoothly. Being late by 15 minutes or more without a valid reason will result in an automatic forfeit. If you have a scheduling conflict or emergency, reach out to NHSDLC staff before the round or as soon as possible to let us know.

请准时到达比赛教室，以确保赛事顺利进行。无正当理由迟到15分钟或以上将自动判负。如遇赛程冲突或紧急情况，请在比赛轮次开始前或尽快联系NHSDLC工作人员告知情况。

After the debate, all results will be disclosed. You will receive brief oral feed.back from the judge regarding your performance and the rationale behindtheir decision, except during the Grand Finals. After the tournament, all written feedback will be available for viewing and downloading on our official website.

除决赛外，在每场辩论结束后，裁判都会当场宣布结果，每轮比赛后，裁判都会针对你的对局表现以及他们做出决定的理由进行简短口头反馈。所有书面反馈将上传至我们的官方网站，在比赛结束后，你可以在我们发布的链接中查看和下载评分单。

During the elimination rounds, eliminated contestants may choose to observe matches in the competition room, subject to the consent of both competing participants and the judge. In the Grand Finals, all contestants, parents who have made reservations, and accompanying teachers are permitted to remain in the auditoriumto spectate.

在淘汰赛阶段，已淘汰选手可以选择前往比赛教室观赛，但必须征得双方比赛选手和裁判的同意。在决赛阶段所有选手和已预约的家长及带队老师可在报告厅内观赛。

NHSDLC fully respects the judges' decisions, and all decisions are final. Please respect the judges and listen to their feedback and suggestions, as their opinions are intended to help you improve. In debates, we expect everyone to focus more on how to enhance their arguments, expression, or strategies. Focus on growth, not outcomes.
